Re: Eckerd College & Drake — Existing Tree Removal and Replacement
Dear Ted,
This letter is to address the removal of an existing tree previously shown as "to remain"
on the approved Final Compliance Plans for the Eckerd Drug Store at College and
Drake. The existing tree is located adjacent to the entrance drive from Thunderbird
Road on the east side of the drive aisle. The closeness of the tree to the drive aisle
would result in the roots being damaged and a potential safety hazard being created.
In our opinion, the existing tree should be removed and an ornamental tree added in
its place.
The attached drawing shows the existing conditions as approved on the Final
Compliance Plan dated January 5, 2004 and the revised drawing showing the
replacement ornamental tree.
