RE: Sanctuary West PDP
I am writing this on behalf of my client, Solitaire Homes to formally request an extension of the three
year approval period of the PDP by six months as allowed in Section 2.2.11(c) of the Land use Code.
As you are well aware, the market forces have changed considerably since this project was first
conceived in 2005, and even since our PDP approval on June 11, 2008. We still believe this to be a
viable project, but we are been forced to wait out the current economy, and more importantly the
credit crunch that has brought virtually all development work to a halt. Since our approval in 2008 we
have submitted final development plans and are in the final push to get approval of those documents,
and have the project recorded.
Our goal is to obtain approvals and proceed to recording as fast as we can. However, our civil
engineer has been forced to move across the country for economic reasons, and this has slowed us
down somewhat.
If the extension is approved, we have every intent of completing the final plan process, and recording
the mylars, plat, development agreement, etc. within the extension period.

Dear Mr. Hoaglund,
The City of Fort Collins has reviewed and approved your request for a six month
extension to the Sanctuary West PDP, originally approved on July 10, 2008.
Based on this extension, a Final Plan in accordance with the City of Fort Collins
Land Use Code must be approved no later than January 10, 2012.
Please note that the code does not authorize further extensions and failure to
receive Final Plan approval by January 10, 2012, will render the Sanctuary West
PDP null and void.
