Hi Ginger,
I wanted to talk with you in regards to the current water tap that is on site. I am assuming that Light &
Power purchased this tap. We would like to see if it would be possible to use this tap to water, with a
drip system, the new trees/vegetation that will be on -site. If I remember right, I do not believe this tap is
currently being used, so metering the water usage should be relatively simple. But maybe I have
misunderstood. '
Thank you for all of your help Ginger! l

The address of the Light & Power(L&P) Timberline substation is: 1809 Timberline
Road
Currently, the L&P substation has a 2" City sprinkler meter.
The property directly to the South of the L&P lot and potential Integrated Recycling
Center is 1925 Timberline Road which receives its water service from Ft Collins
Loveland Water District.
Please take note of the attachments which will give you the location of the property
in question.
Dwight,
Can you determine if there is a water tap at the property in question? That would
be between 1809 and 1925 Timberline Road. As the process moves forward, I
believe Roger and Mary will be involved for the permitting process (if necessary).. If
I have overlooked someone who can add the success of the Project, please add
them to the e-mail distribution list..
Th a n ks,
Mike

Hi Ethan; I have included Mike Herbst on your water meter request.
Mike, the location of reference is the area just south of the Timberline Substation; where Susie Gordon
is requesting leasing the property from L&P to build an Integrated Recycling Center. See attached files.
Could you please have someone, within your organization, verify the tap on site and what it would take
to install a meter for future utilization by the City's Environmental Services organization. I appreciate
your assistance.

Please see the email below from Mike Oberlander. If at all possible, I would like to try and utilize the
existing 2" service on -site for our drip system. Would this be acceptable? Also, would it be acceptable to
set this up in the lease agreement as stated below?
Thank you,
Ethan

Yes, there is an existing 2" City water meter on the site that is hooked up to a sprinkler system — you can
see it on the drawing you sent — it is south of the, drive and west of the fire hydrant. I don't know if it
has been run, or what all it irrigates. The email below shows where some of the interdepartmental
confusion will likely come in. Susie could do a new tap, but it will be expensive and since she is leasing,
the tap will be watering some parks land and some light and power land. I am assuming that the tap
was initially built with the substation, and it seems to me that if they are not selling the land to Susie, .
that Susie should set up her lease so that she can extend irrigation to the site and use the tap. There is
no good reason to do a second tap — what exists is more than enough to drip our trees.

Hey Mike,
Please see the email below. I thought you mentioned that there is a meter on -site. Did I remember this
correctly?
Thank you,

Hi Everyone,
We are going to have to expand on the number of co-workers involved in the
forward momentum of the Integrated Recycling Center. I have included Roger
Buffington, Mary Young and Dwight Dufloth in the process.
Here's what I've found.

Hi Lindsay E,
Would Steve's response below be enough for Glenn's letter that he is requiring or would it be best to draft an "official"
letter for this?
Thank you,
Ethan

Hey Ethan,
This is the email I was referring to during our conversation. Will this not 'fit the bill' for what is needed from Steve?

As discussed in our meeting on 7/23. Please proceed with developing a description of the drainage easement
referenced below.
Thanks,

Good morning-
1 think Steve's initial response below was enough for the project to go to the PDP hearing with the condition. At some
time prior to the final plan approval, we will need a legal description and "notice of alignment" recorded between the
departments. I don't think there is anything to do right now.
