Regarding the SW Corner Prospect/1-25 (Resource Recovery Farm) Rezoning, I would like to bring the 2
petitions to you today for your signature, with notarization. This rezoning contains 2 parcels just to the
south and west of the East Prospect Road & 1-25 intersection. There is a total of 143.34 acres, with 25.17
acres currently zoned C - Commercial and 118.17 acres currently zoned POL - Public Open Lands. The
entire property is City -owned and all 143.34 acres are being proposed to be rezoned to E - Employment.
This is a City -initiated rezoning. Due to this rezoning recently being added to the Fall semi-annual rezoning
cycle, we have a short time -line on which to work.
