Subject: Wood Street Lofts
Dear Ms. Aspen,
I live at 207 North Grant Avenue and would like my comments regarding the Wood Street Lofts proposal
to be part of the project record. I attended the neighborhood meeting held at 700 Wood Street, and would
like to express my concern over the proposed development. I believe the three proposed structures are
not compatible with the rest of the neighborhood in terms of height, set back from property boundaries,
architecture, and over all unit density of the lots.
I urge the Planning and Zoning Board to deny the applicants request for a variance to allow a third story on
the buildings as well as the structure set back from the property boundary. These proposed variances are
not for the overall public good of the neighborhood.
While I am opposed to the proposed building plans as submitted to the City, I am not opposed to
redeveloping the property into new structures that are more compatible with the neighborhood. I would
urge the developer to work with the neighborhood to develop a plan that has less unit density, not as high,
and fewer structures.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message concerning the project. Please reply to my email if you
have any questions.
