HomeMy WebLinkAboutRICHTER MANSION RECEPTION CENTER AND BED & BREAKFAST - MOD - 13-04 - SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS - ROUND 1 - (5)No Text Community Planning and Environmental Services Current Planning Citv of Fort Collins Dear Resident May 12, 2004 On Tuesday, May 25, 2004, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at McGraw Elementary School, 4800 Hinsdale Drive, the City of Fort Collins will hold a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is referred to as the Richter Mansion Reception Center and Bed and Breakfast. As proposed, the project would consist of using the existing residence and grounds of the property at 315 West Harmony Road as a small scale reception center and bed and breakfast facility for up to three guest rooms. The property is located on the south side of West Harmony Road, south of the Harmony. Hospital For Pets (Please see map on reverse.) The property contains nine acres and is presently located in unincorporated Larimer County. Any such request for development as a small scale reception center and bed and breakfast would trigger annexation into the City. Upon annexation, the property would be placed into the U-E, Urban Estate, zone district. Access to the property is from Harmony Road via a shared driveway with the Harmony Hospital For Pets at 309 West Harmony Road. The property is bounded by Arbor Plaza Shopping Center and Spradley-Barr Auto Dealership on the east and Brookwood Estates on the west. A small scale reception center is defined as Small scale reception center shall mean a place of assembly that may include a building or structure containing a hall, auditorium or ballroom used for celebrations or other special occasions such as weddings, graduations or anniversaries). The building or structure may also include meeting rooms and facilities for serving food. Outdoor spaces such as lawns, plazas, gazebos, and/or terraces used for social gatherings or ceremonies are a common component of the center. A small scale reception center shall not include sporting events or concerts. The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
