Hello Kaye,
I want to respond to both the Bas Bleu Parking issue and the Willow Street issue.
Patrick Rowe, with our office, has been working with Jean Hellburg (Parks) and Ingrid Decker (City
Attorneys office) to complete this Agreement. Most recently, we have sent our draft to the United Way for
their input. Please contact Patrick Rowe at 224-6127 with any additional questions.
As for the Willow Street project, nothing has changed since our last communications where we indicated
that all real estate easement/alley vacation request are on hold until the City has completed it's entitlement
of the planned Northside Center. At this point we are merely in the process of putting together an RFP to
select an architect. It will be a number of months before we have the conceptual plan to a point where we
can begin to address the alley and related issues. Paul Yarbrough or Patrick Rowe should be your future
contact on this issue. At this time we do not feel that there is a need to meet on this issue.
Once the Northside plans are adequately completed, City staff looks forward to working with you to try to
accommodate your needs. The ultimate approval of all real estate/alley vacation request will be made by
City Council.

Jon asked that I check with you on the status of the United Way and Bas Bleu
Theatre Parking Agreement. He is worried that once you leave no one else
will understand the mechanics of the agreement.
