This includes all kinds of construction vehicles hauling in building materials as well as people in vehicles using the current NACC. This will most likely become the permanent access route for the new NACC. We will also need to provide temporary NACC parking somewhere west of the UW lot to access the current NACC facility during construction, as the new facility location is the current NACC parking lot. The current soccer field will most likely be the staging site for the construction of the NACC, as it will be used by the EPA project for the same purpose. I know this will all occur after the EPA stuff, but it will impact the ongoing use of the UW parking lot for more than just overflow parking for Bas Bleu and/or the recreation center use. I see the Pine Street/United Way lot becoming very busy and staying busy after the new NACC is built. You/we may want to review a map of the site and the preliminary drawing for the new NACC to get a visual on this. The other question that, to my knowledge, has not been answered is how the EPA workers will access the river with not only the construction phase but the aftermath, which will include trucks periodically hauling materials from the site. They currently are accessing between the west side of the NACC building and the skate park. I'm not sure this is the best nor safest permanent access route. The second item on timeline needs to be addressed by Jack Gianola. I have based by initial comments on my past experience with timelines to design a large project and the City's requirements and timelines for these projects. Thanks. jh >>> Craig Foreman 08/23/04 11:28AM >>> Hi; I think we will not be using the United Way area for the clean-up. We will need the soccer field area north of the existing Aztlan Center for earthwork operations, etc. Craig >>> Ralph Campano 08/23/04 11:25AM >>> Hello, Jean Helburg has brought up some valid points regarding Jon's request: 1) Will we need to use any of the land on the United Way property during the EPA's clean-up/construction? If so, we should address this in the agreement. 2) The letter indicates that the design of the future recreation facility will be complete by Spring 2005. Jean, does not think that this is feasible given the scope to the project. Do we need to amend the dates? I would really like to get this letter completed by today, as Jon has been making regular request for a status update. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ralph
