VP 2 T. ?nQ4 CURRENT PLANNING September 17, 2004 City of Fort Collins (Attu Steve Olt) 281 North College Avenue Fort Collins, CO 80524 RE: Timnath Tap PDP — City of Fort Collins Referral ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT Post Office Box 1190 Fort Collins, Colorado 80522-1190 (970) 498-5700 FAX (970) 498-7986 This is a proposal to expand the substation located north of Fort Collins, east of the Highway, and south of Mountain Vista Drive. The plan also includes a 900 square foot new control building. Comments: • It does not appear that any existing access will be affected by this proposal. There is an existing access and gravel road within existing easements to the site and it appears that there would be a minimal increase in traffic. If the access or generated trips would be considerably affected, a revised access permit and traffic study would be required. • We assume that any improvements associated with this proposal will not adversely impact the drainage patterns on the site. The expanded area will be fenced and the ground will be covered with an aggregate base course surface, which should not have a significant impact on the drainage patterns. If the site drainage is altered, a drainage report study should be submitted • The applicant should be aware that notification and approval from the proper utility authorities is required if any easements are being vacated, created or modified in association with the proposal. Staff Recommendation: The Engineering Department has only reviewed this submittal at a conceptual level but there were no apparent concerns with the proposal. County Engineering Department does not have any major concerns or issues with the submittal of this proposal. Please feel free to contact me at (970) 498-5701 if you have any questions. Thank you.
