City of Fort Collins
October 29, 2004
Dear Resident:
On Wednesday, November 10, 2004, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., in the Lecture Hall*
of Fossil Ridge High School, 5400 Ziegler Road, the City of Fort Collins and the
Poudre School District will conduct a neighborhood information meeting for a
development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is Kinard Junior High
School.
As part of the 2000 Bond Program, the Poudre School District is planning to build
a new junior high school in southeast Fort Collins. This school is scheduled to
open in August of 2006.
After careful review of potential sites, the Poudre School District has selected 25
acres at the northeast portion of the Kechter Farm. This site is located west of
Ziegler Road and north of Trilby Road (extended). Please see map on reverse.
The Junior High School campus will include ball fields for soccer, football,
baseball, softball as well as an outdoor track. Two separate parking lots will
separate parent and visitor parking from staff and bus parking. The building will
be two stories in height.
* To enter the Lecture Hall, enter the high school at the main entrance. Proceed
straight across the cafeteria to the Lecture Hall.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official
records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected
property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your
neighbors of the pending meeting so all neighbors have the opportunity to attend.
Surely:
