Collins, Current Planning 281 North College PO Box 580 Ft Collins, Colorado 80522 RE: Project: Storybook 2nd Filing Title: FDP130051 Engineer Contact: Stewart and Associates The East Larimer County Water District (District) staff has reviewed material delivered to the District for the proposed project referenced above and has the following comments: 1. Sheet 4 of 19 — Overall Utility Plan (see also attached scan of this sheet with notes): a. Lots 62 and 62 Meter Pit Location: The water service meter pits cannot be located within a driveway or sidewalk. These lots both appear to have very narrow areas for lot access (i.e. driveways) bringing concern that is may be difficult for a developer/builder to locate the meter pits outside the driveway unless this is taken into account now and during construction. Also, if possible, the District prefers the service line from the District main to the meter pit not be located under a driveway. The District requests the developer discuss this with District field staff and identify where the water service can be routed and meter pit set before construction. b. Additional Service Line Between Lots 67 and 68: See attached, there appears to be an extra service line between lots 67and 68 unless that line is planned as an irrigation service. Please review and identify whether this line is needed. 2. ELCO Signature Block: Replace the signature bloc with the attached. Any written agreements required to complete water line connections to the property must be completed prior to final approval of the project construction drawings. The District administers design and construction standards for its water distribution system. The developer's engineer should contact the District early in the project design process to obtain this information and coordinate the project design with the existing District facilities.
