RE: Global Village
Dear Ted:
In response to your S.P.A.R. comments on email dated 12-19-2013:
1. Screening rooftop mechanical equipment. - We will provide adequate
screening by adjusting the parapet height to block line of sight to the roof top
units. Slater Paul will provide a section showing line of sight form the
perimeter of the property.
2. Planting street trees in the public right-of-way along all four public streets. -
We will provide the trees along Taft in Phase I of the project and will
continue providing the suggested tree's in future phases. I hope that the City
will find this acceptable as our current budget is really being stretched to get
the school into phase I. The future phases will be supported with additional
enrollment that in turn will allow for a budget that can incorporate these
items.
3. Add al notes per the City Forester. - Please see below under Meeting Note
Comments.
4. Re -construction three handicap access ramps to meet current A.D.A.
requirements. - This work will be completed and has been indicated on our
site and civil plans.
5. Showing on the Site Plan the on -site circulation system per Ward Stanford's
comments. - This will be completed as discussed in our meeting.
Meeting Note Comments
a. Comment Number 1, Street Trees- Global Village Phase I has included in the
budget the costs for planting the trees along Taft Hill Road. As you are
aware, we have a very tight budget and would like to address the additional
trees and the additional plantings be incorporated in the future expansions.
Please let us know if we can work this out.
b. Comment Number 2, Future Statement- It is the intent of the school to work
with the City of Fort Collins to provide approved landscaping in the future
phases.
c. Comment Number 3, Silver Trails Driveway - We will work to get the
additional landscaping and planting of these trees in phase I. We are
working with our Civil Engineer to best address the issue with the neighbor
in regards to the potential for exiting vehicle lights shining in the neighbor's
