GVA-FC is currently enrolling for grades K-5 for 2014 (possibly K-6) and adding one grade per year. • Unique language immersion program provides instruction in English and student choice of Mandarin, Spanish, or French. Students spend at least half of their school day studying core subjects in a new language and all students learn to read, write, and speak a second language. The immersion approach to learning a second language is used successfully throughout Europe, Canada and several Central and South American countries. No other Ft. Collins or Loveland School offers full immersion in three languages and English. All GVA students learn to read, write, and speak a 2nd language. • Global Village offers Tuition -Free Full Day Kindergarten and a fee -based preschool program that features immersion instruction in Spanish and Chinese. This program appeals to all parents wishing to have give their students 2155 Century skills regarding, languages, cultural competency, and technology. • Ft. Collins School is building a new 2-story facility at the northwest corner of Horsetooth and Taft Hill Road in to serve 330 students in 2014 with a capacity of 500 pre-k through 8`" grade students in the first phase. GVA Facility includes classrooms, dining/open area, offices and a preschool and will be built on a 5.1 acre site. • Traffic concerns are minimized because more than half of GVA students use the GVA bus service and we have an average of 2.83 students per vehicle. Transfort bus stop is also located on the south side of the campus on Horsetooth. • GVA Students demonstrate excellent achievement and language mastery by 8`h grade that is equivalent to a college sophomore majoring in a foreign language. (Similar private school in Manhattan charges $40,000 tuition per year). • School is regional and offers busing. Parents have relocated from Oregon and France just to enroll their children in our programs. We already know of families moving to Ft. Collins so they can be in the GVA program. • GVA is nationally recognized and recipients of more than $3.8 million in federal and state grants to expand opportunities for learning and teaching critical languages. • GVA's staff includes highly qualified teachers from around the world, thus enhancing the cultural experience at the school. The current GVA schools in Colorado, including the one in Ft. Colliins have a very diverse teaching and student staff when compared to the local district. • GVA works with Colorado State University, University of Beijing, Education Ministry of Spain, Denver University, and University of Colorado. • Board members include former Ft. Collins Mayor Ray Martinez, a former Poudre School District Board member, business owners, and professors from Colorado State University, University of Northern Colorado, and University of Denver.
