HomeMy WebLinkAboutWTE - AT&T WIRELESS, 1107 CITY PARK AVENUE (LIQUOR DEPOT) - PDP - 33-04 - REPORTS - PROJECT NARRATIVE(6) Berming will not be incorporated.
(7) There will not be any irrigation on site.
(8) The screen wall surrounding the facility will be painted to match, as closely as
possible, the existing building.
(9) There not be a security light on the site. The only light will be a maintenance light
used once the equipment doors open. Once the doors close the light turns off.
(10) There will not be any interference from this site.
(11) No new access roadways.
(12) The site is not located by the foothills or hogbacks.
(13) The site is not affected by any airports.
(14) The store is not a historic structure.
(15) The site is employing "stealth technology" by utilizing the RF transparent screening
material to blend/hide equipment from view.
As a roof mounted telecommunication site, this is a very unobtrusive and compatible site.
The surrounding uses are primarily commercial except for the high density housing to the
south. The existing screening provided by mature trees, existing buildings, existing
rooftop HVAC units, and location of the rooftop equipment, will keep the site virtually
invisible from any one driving on City Park Ave or Elizabeth. It is AT&T's hope that
this site meets with the City's approval. If you have any questions please call 720-201-
73 85.

Re: Narrative for AT&T collocation on the Liquor Depot building.
Dear Mr. Barkeen,
AT&T Wireless Services (AT&T) is proposing to collocate a new rooftop wireless
telecommunication site on Liquor Depot located at 1107 City Park Ave.
The proposed site is a rooftop mounted facility in a Community Commercial zone
district. There are no existing wireless telecommunication users at this site but the
building owner is hopeful of future collocations, which AT&T is would not oppose.
Standards
(1) Since the proposed site is a rooftop mounted facility and no equipment will be located
on the ground, there are no viable setbacks.
(2) The proposed site is designed to blend into the existing architecture of the store,
which is a stucco facade and brick building. All the equipment will be located on the
building's roof and screened by an RF transparent fiber board that will resemble the
stucco exterior. This screen will be painted to match the existing color and blend with
the building. Since the primary construction design of the building is a box style
warehouse, the new equipment and screening will not detract from the store's
appearance.
(3) Although the code allows a maximum of 15' above the building height, AT&T is only
extending its equipment and antennas 5' above the roof. Due to the structural design of
the store, equipment placement is located at the rear out side comer of the structure with
the antennas running along the perimeter of the roof. The architecturally compatible
screening will hide all antennas and equipment from view. AT&T's equipment is some
of the newest and least obtrusive available for use by AT&T. They have switched from
their use of pre -fabricated equipment structures to the outdoor equipment cabinets,
dramatically reducing impact of new sites.
(4) Since this is a roof mounted facility no landscaping is being incorporated into the site.
(5) There will not be any fencing used at the site. Screening will be accomplished by the
stucco screen wall.
