We had our neighborhood meeting last night and 18 people attended. All but three of the
attendees were from Stanton Creek subdivision; the others being from Greerstone. There really
weren't any planning issues raised by the neighbors. They liked the overall plan and liked the
quality of the neighborhood. There were a few technical issues discussed:
• Drainage from some of the homes in Stanton Creek is a problem that their
builder/developer has not corrected. They wanted to make sure we do not plan to
drain onto their lots and make the problems worse. Our drainage plan drains all of
our water into our development and does not impact surrounding properties. I
suggested they talk to Glenn or Basil about their issues.
• Traffic from our development may enter into Stanton Creek since we are connecting
to Stanton creek Drive which is presently stubbed to our property line. Our plan
minimizes the amount of traffic into Stanton Creek, but there is still concern. I told
them that we would direct construction traffic from Lemay to minimize drive -through
activity during development. Some residents may want to express their concerns
about our neighborhood traffic coming into their subdivision. I informed them about
the process and let them know how to contact the City.
• Concerns about the Stanton Creek drainage way were raised. I described to them the
buffers we will be using and also the water quality and erosion control features that
will be a part of the design plans. I think everyone felt comfortable with the
requirements, but they might want to review the drainage plans when they are
completed.
• The most asked questions were "How much are the lots?" and "When will they be
ready?" It sounded like we might have some interested buyers.
The meeting was very cordial and was over in about 45 minutes.
