Re: Waterfield Third Filing FDP140006 Waterfield
Dear Mr. Shepard:

I represent the Larimer & Weld Irrigation Company whose irrigation ditch borders the
northerly portion of this proposed Waterfield Third Filing. We've made previous comments
concerning the maintenance of a 25 foot easement and access road along the south side of the
ditch which I believe has been complied with. This is the historic easement that we have always
had and require for the operation maintenance of the ditch which needs to be kept free of all
obstructions and paving.
The main purpose of this letter is to address the irrigation lateral offtake which is several
hundred feet west of Timberline. This long existing "No. 10 Lateral" is being apparently
relocated via a 24inch sdr 32.5 pvc irrigation line. I believe it shows an offtake from the main
irrigation ditch as a "proposed junction boxed (type "c")". I do not find any additional details.
The developer needs to know that the offtake off the big ditch is within our property and
our jurisdiction. Any activity concerning that structure needs to be done with our approval. After
quickly perusing the 112 pages of drawings supplied to me, I do not find in the plans what a
junction boxed (type "c") looks like, and if I missed it, I am sorry. The irrigation company wants
an appropriate structure put in there so that the flow off the ditch can be regulated, and we also
want a measuring device at the ditch offtake.
We will be happy to work with the developer or the developer's representative in
finalizing the details concerning this proposed work that is going to be done on our ditch.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I will await hearing from someone.
