STATION - PDP - 9-05 - CORRESPONDENCE - TRAFFIC STUDYAnne Aspen - Fwd: Cherry Street Station a^**ss and parking Page 1 From: Marc Virata To: Anne Aspen; Cameron Gloss; David Averill Date: 03/25/2005 4:48:00 PM Subject: Fwd: Cherry Street Station access and parking Upon further clarification from Eric, he supports inset parking for the sole purpose of it acting as loading/unloading & pick-up/drop-off for vehicles. He will not support this area used for parking (be it short- term, long-term, or handicap). Thanks, Marc >>> Marc Virata 3/24/2005 8:22:50 AM >>> I just spoke with Eric Bracke this morning on Cherry Street Station and received verification on the following items: Access Control: The development will be required to construct a porkchop/channelization median at the driveway entrance to the parking garage to direct access as right-in/right-out to the extent possible with such a design. This is required at this time and not at some future date. Parking along Cherry: Eric does not object to the providing of inset parking along Cherry Street to get vehicles outside of the bikelane/travel lane. Part of this area should be for temporary loading/unloading. We will likely discuss the inset parking issue further at TransCoordination this morning, Eric won't be at the meeting, though Ward may attend. Thanks, Marc
