RE: Drainage Statement for "Street Improvement Plan for Romero House"

Dear Basil,
The Romero House Project has been required to construct curb, gutter and sidewalk on its
adjacent streets (10's Street and Romero Street). Your review comments state that documentation
needs to be provided regarding existing and proposed impervious areas for the project. This
project will remove 2,200 square feet of pavement and will construct 2,800 square feet of
pavement in the right of way. This is a 600 square foot increase in impervious area.
The main objective of the site work for the Romero House project will be removing all of the
"add-ons" that have been built onto the existing adobe house. With the remodel of the house, the
impervious area within the lot will be reduced. The existing house is 1,500 square feet (based on
our survey) and when the house is modified to get back to its original size, it will be about 700
square feet. This is an 800 square foot reduction in impervious area.
With the street work coupled with the work on the house; there will be a net decrease of
impervious area (200 square feet less).
