Gentlepersons:
The Colorado State Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity is asking for the permission of the
board to change the usage of the property at 321 W. Myrtle St. from Multi Family to
Group Living or "Fraternity". If granted permission to change usage of the property we
will not be making any modifications to the property or building, nor will we be adding
any parking, per what was discussed in our conceptual review meeting. The only
addition to the building will be "letters" or signage that will be put on the NE corner of
the building. Due to the fact that we are not changing the house in any manner, the
property will meet all recommendations the departmental agencies handed down after the
meeting.
The Colorado State Chapter has been on the CSU campus for three and half years and has
had nothing but a positive impact on the community. We participate in a neighborhood
clean-up monthly and have recently started shoveling the walks of our neighbors to keep
our walks clear and safe. Over the last semester we compiled up a total of 1100
community service hours.
The house on 321 W. Myrtle Street will be occupied by 12 active members of the
fraternity and will be occupied at all times. The house will be clean and aesthetically
pleasing from the outside.
The Delta Chi Fraternity, as all Chapters at CSU is a dry house, meaning it is dry of all
alcohol and alcoholic events at all times. Also the management of the property will be
handled by the Delta Chi Fraternity Housing Corporation which was established in
December of 2004.
With that said, the Colorado State Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity will continue to be
a positive influence in the Greek community and strive for perfection.
Sincerely:
