PROJECT I NO.: Columbine East — Existing Trees
TO: Tim Buchanan / Ted Shepard
From: Louise Herbert / Sandy McFeron.
The following was discussed and determined at a site visit on 2123/05:
1) Trees — on site:
Planning
a) 1 — mature spruce. Mitigate with 5 trees.
b) 1 — mature apple. Mitigate with 4 trees.
c) 3 — cottonwood. Mitigate with 9 trees.
d) 1 — mature tulip tree. Mitigate with 2 trees.
e) 1 — mature cottonwood. The base of the tree was hollow. It was agreed that
this did not qualify to be mitigated and should be removed.
2) Trees/ vegetation — South Lemay. (Right -of -Way).
a) 2- cottowood north.Mitigate with 4 trees.
b) Tim Buchanan to evaluate other mature cottonwood and confirm their speck
requirements.
c) Smaller vegetation can be romoved with no mitigation required.
d) Existing grades on Lemay should be maintained especially around the
existing trees.
e) Proposed sidewalk adjacent to Lemay. Alignment was satisfactory in relation
to the existing trees.
f) Trimming. Trees were last trimmed 7 years ago. Tim confirmed that the cost for
further trimming / pruning will be the client's responsibility.
