Dear Sir,
I represent current owners of the Airpark property that your dad sold 21 acres to in 1981 in order
to extend the airpark runway. He retained the mineral rights in that transaction and we would like
to buy them back to clean up our title. Our title company is willing to insure over them for
$1,500 but we think it would be a better long term solution to acquire them from you for this
amount. There is limited likelihood that minerals underlie this property have any economic value
as explained in the attached letter from our geologist. This property has been rezoned in 2006
for development so the city and state regulations probably prohibit extraction of the minerals in
this urban location.
If you are interested in our $1,500 offer we will need evidence that you are the heirs to Samuel
Webster and authorized to make this transaction. The closing will be dependent upon when we
can close a refinancing with our lender which is 30 to 60 days. You would be sending your
documents to the title company and be paid from the closing proceeds. I have attached a map
showing where these mineral rights are located and the Deed of Sale.
