Is this a code issue? Please advise ASAP. Also: Your red lines ask about type A luminaires around the building and how they are mounted. All are in sofits and are fully recessed. The sofits are not shown on the plans. Thank you. Tom Rorabaugh ILLUMINATION PLANNING, Ltd. 2408 Tamarac Drive Fort Collins, CO 80521 Ph. (970) 482-2277 Fx. My only concern is that the neighboring property to the east is not annexed and, as such, may have grown accustomed to low Ilighting levels. High pole heights tend to make the light source more visible from further away. Fixtures DID and CC are mounted such that lamp is facing east and throwing light to the east. While illumination points indicate that foot-candles are 0.0 at the property line, I'm still concerned about visibility of the lamp due to pole height. What would be your reaction to moving those poles slight east, but reversing the direction of distribution so that the light is cast to the west. That way, a house -side shield can be mounted on the back side of the fixture helping to shield the light source as viewed from the County property to the east. Also be sure that under -canopy lighting is specified to be "flush -mount and flat lens." >>> "ILLUMINATION PLANNING" <lightdesign@frii.com> 03/08/2006 9:32:42 AM >>> Ted, I am revising the lighting on the Kingdom Hall project with The Frederickson Group. Question: Is there a code issue if the pole lights are taller than the building? The peak of the building is about 20' AFG. In order to use fewer poles with good distribution of low wattage (175 watt lamps) I
