Dear Mr. Shepard,
Thank you for the information about the proposed Spring Creek Ranch. We are unable to
attend the neighborhood meeting, but wish to share the following concerns:
1) We like having the horse pasture as part of our neighborhood. If we must give this
up for housing, we would much prefer single-family homes. It was our
understanding that no developments were allowed under 30 acres, and to find that
someone wants to put 81 units in that small area is very disturbing.
2) Any development that makes a road passing through from Taft Hill to Dunbar is
going to be a mess for the entire neighborhood. The traffic from the High School
is already fast and noisy, and adding commuter traffic avoiding Drake and
Horsetooth would make it even worse. Already, there are often tracks through the
flood retention area where cars drive from Swallow to Hull, and that is likely to
increase if Hull goes through to Taft. If there is going to be a development, please
have the access only from Taft Hill, and not connecting through to Dunbar.
