[6/14/05] College Avenue is a state highway, and as such, CDOT regulations must be followed for construction within that ROW and drainage onto the highway. CDOT has indicated that retaining walls and/or stairs are not permitted within the ROW. Planter boxes would be ok with a permit; closing the access on College will require a permit (free for removal) that would also cover the other work within the ROW. Please discuss drainage issues with CDOT, as well as the proposed relocation of the light pole and associated curbing to the center of College Avenue, to see what CDOT will allow.
