Fire hydrants are required with a maximum sparing of 600 feet along an approved roadway. Each

Meeting Memorandum
The purpose of this meatiM was to Review with PDP connnrents with Poudre Fire Aut1writy.
The following Items are of note:
(6/2/Wl REQUIRED ACCESS:
A fire lane is required The fire lane shall be visible by painting and signage, and maintained
unobstruded 1997 UFC 901.221; 901.3; 901.42, 902.2.1; FCLUC
The Criteria for a required Are lane contain several condition that must be met
1. The minimum width shag be 20 feet.
Justin Larson described the constraints and character of the Old Town site. Mike stated that an access
easement of 16' wide and no overhanging eaves within 14' high would meet the the access easement
needs.
2. Inside turning radius shall be 25 feet and outwde turning radus shaft he 50 feet.
Mike clarified that a inside turning radius of 25' should be provided an the east side of the approach into
the vacated alley.
Buildings three stories or more in height must have access to a 30 foot unobstructed access roadway
on at least (1) one side for aerial operations. PFA Policy 85-5 (B)
Mike stated that Magnolia Street wand be of sufficient size to operate a pumper truck from the center if
the owner would vacate one diagonal partying stall for emergency access. Alan agreed to provide the
preferred far west diagonal space for Ere access. The stripping shall be removed and the cub painted
red to designate fire access.
