I've always figured that you have a copy of the plans and that they would just work directly with you. Please let me know if I should be getting a request to you in the future.) I assumed that any existing trees under their footprint would go and be mitigated. Are there no street trees that will stay either? I will certainly defer to you on this but was under the impression that some trees on the street existed and would remain. Anne >>> Tim Buchanan 06/13 3:43 PM >>> Hi Anne I sometimes like to check in with planning to be sure you are ok with the rationale for removing the trees. To me it seems like to do their project they can't save any of the trees on the site. I will go ahead and email you the number of mitigation trees. I guess you can consider this your request. Do you need anything else from me? All of the trees on the property will need to be removed to accommodate the proposed construction. The 2 American Elms on Magnolia can be preserved with some pruning and injections. The trees on the property consist of: 35" Green Ash 25" Boxelder (3) 15" Ash (2) l 0" Ash 18" Ash The Boxelder and one of the IS" Ash are in poor condition. The remainder of the trees are in good condition. The 35" Ash has had some root damage due to driveway construction in the past few years. This tree has also done some foundation damage to the existing building. Magnolia, Urban Living Lofts at Magnolia St. PDP Anne, We have met with Tim Buchanan, City Forrester, and reviewed the trees that we will have to remove in or- der to build the loft project at 210 W Magnolia. Of the fifteen mitigation trees required w-e were able to fit seven of them on site as shown on our re submitted landscape plan. We are currently working with our neighbors within 1/4 mile of our site to locate potential sites for the addi- tional 8 trees that will be required off site. The area immediately surrounding our site is fortunate to al- ready have a lot of good mature trees. If we are unable to locate sites within a 1/4 mile radius of our site that can accept more trees we will work with the city forester to identify needs that the city has for addi- tional trees and provide the 8 additional trees to the city. I have attached the mitigation requirements provided by Tim Buchanan for reference. Please give me a call if you have any questions or concerns.
