Understanding it is as a citizen in the area of the park. Answers to your questions: 1. Concerns about the west parking lot off Overland Trail Road. We agree with you that the entrance to S.P.C.C. will be defined and help to separate Cottonwood Glen Park from the community park. We are planning an entrance with sign south of the existing Cottonwood Glen parking lot to clearly indicate the community park entry point. t We have worked hard to move parking away from the south side of the irrigation pond. We presently have about 20 to 50 feet to the pond edge which we will landscape to minimize the view of cars from the north. We have bumped into existing trees and a drainage swale on the south of the parking lot area that keeps us from going any farther to the south. Our plans are to have the overflow parking areas in grass and pavers which should help reduce their impact. 2. Concerns about the location of the Spring Creek Trail at Cottonwood Glen Park. The Council approved master plan for the park shows the Spring Creek Trail located on the west side of the existing cottonwood trees as in the PDP. The main trail needs to remain on the edge of the park to avoid conflicts with other park users in the north shelter area. The trail location also takes advantage of the existing trail bridge. Staff and the consultant had many conversations about the trail placement and believe we have the best location that serves the neighborhood and community park. 3. The trail hub has moved to near the north entrance near the access from the parking lot to the picnic shelters. This was done to avoid a conflict with the dog park. Keeping the dog park in its present location, directed by Council, along with the re-establishment of Spring Creek resulted in no room for the trail hub. Staff and the consultant believe we have a good trail hub location that will work well for many visitors. Again, thanks for the comments Craig CC: <rlee@bhadesign.com>; Kathleen Benedict; Steve Olt
