HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINATTA ANNEXATION & ZONING - 36-05 - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING#36-05 Minatta Neighborhood Meeting 9"'2005 N 1 inch equals 600 feet -1 Community Planning and Environmental cervices Current Planning City of Fort Collins November 8, 2005 Dear Resident: On Tuesday, November 22, 2005, from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church*, 1709 West Elizabeth Street, the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department will conduct an information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. Request for 104 residential dwelling units (60 single-family and 44 multi -family) on the Minatta Property that is approximately 35 acres in size and located on the west side of Overland Trail at the southwest corner of Overland Trail & West Elizabeth Street (a Vicinity Map is attached). The property currently is in the FA1 - Farming District in Larimer County. The applicant has submitted a request to the City of Fort Collins for annexation of the land into the City. If annexed the property would be zoned LMN - Low Density Mixed -Use Neighborhood (20 acres) and RF - Residential Foothills (15 acres). The purpose of this meeting on November 22"' is to give all participants the opportunity to ask questions of the applicant and express their concerns in an informal setting. No formal site -specific development request has been made to the City at this time and no decisions will result from this meeting. Any development request, when made, will be reviewed against and must comply with the requirements and standards set forth in the City's Land Use Code. Representatives for the applicant / developer will be present to introduce their proposal and site development plan. City representatives will be present to respond to questions about the proposed development, City policies and regulations, and to take notes of the meeting. The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
