Mason St. (north entrance), the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department will conduct a neighborhood meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is known as Block 33. This is a city owned property that City Council has resolved to dispose of to be developed in keeping with City Plan as a mostly residential mixed -use project (Resolution 2004-081). The City Manager and City staff were directed to initiate a process for the appropriate transfer of this land. A public RFP (Request for Proposal) process took place in November, 2004 to solicit interest from qualified development teams. No designs were considered in the process, just qualifications. Eight valid proposals were received. Four teams were interviewed. After a thorough selection process, Coburn Development, Inc. was chosen to enter into an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement with the City. This Neighborhood Meeting will be the first of two meetings to which you will be invited. Coburn is interested in soliciting input from the neighbors and understanding the neighborhood's concerns right from the start. Though it is not a requirement on their part, Coburn is electing to hold another meeting once schematic designs have been developed in order to solicit your feedback and reaction to the design. The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call our office at 970-221-6750. Sincerely, Anne H.
