HomeMy WebLinkAboutINNOVATION ISLAND - ODP - 40-05 - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING (4)MM POL Habitat for Humanity - Innovation Island 9/14/2005 N Neighborhood Meeting 1 inch equals600feet Community Planning and Environmental Services Current Planning City of Fort Collins September 14, 2005 Dear Resident: On Wednesday, September 28, 2005, from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m. in the "auditeria" of Webber Junior High School*, 4201 Seneca Street, the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department will conduct an information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The applicant / developer, Habitat for Humanity, is proposing a multi -family residential and small commercial development to be known as Innovation Island on a property located at the southeast comer of West Harmony Road and South Taft Hill Road. The proposal is for 28 affordable multi- family (townhome) dwelling units in 6 buildings and an 18,000 square foot office / retail building on 4.4 acres. A "Vicinity Map" generally identifying and locating the proposed project site is attached. The actual site layout will be presented at the neighborhood meeting. The property is in the LMN — Low Density Mixed -Use Neighborhood Zoning District in the City. The purpose of this meeting on September 28`h is to give all participants the opportunity to ask questions of the applicant and express their concerns in an informal setting. No formal development review request has been made to the City at this time and no decisions will result from this meeting. Any development request, when made, will be reviewed against and must comply with the requirements and standards set forth in the City's Land Use Code. Representatives for the applicant / developer will be present to introduce their proposal. City representatives will be present to respond to questions about the proposed development, City policies and regulations, and to take notes of the meeting. The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
