Results of the Planning and Zoning Board meeting of March 16
62 signatures were presented to the board in opposition to the rezoning.
Dozens of neighbors spoke. Concerns regarding traffic, safety of school
children, violation of the City Plan and Land Use Code, and loss of habitat
were voiced. With no regard for the concerns voiced, the P&Z board decided
unanimously to recommend the rezoning to the city council on April 18th,
Upcoming City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 181h at 300
Laporte Ave. at 6:00pm
The city council vote will be the final decision on this rezoning. If you would
like to be heard, please attend this meeting.
It's time for further community involvement
The city council meeting is just over 2 weeks away. It's time that people let
the local paper, the Coloradoan, know through editorials and other input, just
how they feel about being bulldozed over by the city in order to make way for a
builder. It's time to prepare statements for the city council meeting and to
mark calendars for April 18th. Also, the city council will begin to review
emails from concerned citizens after Thursday, April 13th
