The wells are supposed to be 150 feet away from the lots, which limits the creativity of the plan, Birdsall said. Planners are aware of residents' concerns and will take their questions and comments into consideration before construction begins. Birdsall said comments will be taken very seriously and will have an impact. But the chances are fairly good the housing will be built, because the area is in the city's growth management area, Olt said. Olt said it's the city's intent to make those areas a part of the city. Group seeks rural feel Annexed land may get new housing By DEON HAMPTON DeonHampton@coloradoan.com City officials, project planners and residents living near the southwest corner of Turnberry Road and East Douglas Road met for the first time last week to discuss the Boma Property Project Development Plan. "The Boma property is 80 acres of parcel and was annexed into the city of Fort Collins on March 7," said Steve Olt, with the city Planning Department. The property was zoned Urban Estate, Olt said. The residential area is expected to include 150 single-family homes, said Jim Birdsall, a project planner for the Boma property. "Northern Fort Collins is a good market, and we are a good fit," Birdsall said.
