Subject: Aztlan Drainage
Anne,
We've been looking at the drainage on the north end of the Aztlan site,
in the PDP submittal we were planning on removing the existing 15"
culvert, trees, rip rap and steps and replacing with an 18" culvert and
new rip rap. If we could keep the 15" culvert, the trees and rip rap
could remain and the old concrete steps could be removed. The downside
is the trail could be over topped by water in a two year event, the
upside is we could keep the trees.
We are starting the FCP drawings and would like to know how the City
feels about this, and would be happy to meet with you and/or others that
may be concerned about this if you want to discuss it. I've attached
some pictures so you can see what the area is like.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks
Shaun
