HomeMy WebLinkAboutJOHNSTON ANNEXATION & ZONING - 9-06 - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-HEARINGNo Text Commuey Planning and Environmental frvices Current Planning 6iil May 4, 2006 City of Fort Collins Dear Resident: On Thursday, May 18, 2006, at 6:00 p.m., in City Council Chambers, City Hall West, 300 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the Planning and Zoning Board will conduct a public hearing to consider a development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is referred to as the Johnston Annexation and Zoning, #9-06. The Johnston Annexation is 36.82 acres in size. The site is 6111 Timberline Road located approximately one-half mile south of Kechter Road on the west side of Timberline Road. Contiguity with the existing municipal boundary is gained along the entire southern and western boundaries There are two requested zoning designations for the site. First, on the easterly 17 acres, the proposed zoning is Medium Density Mixed Use Neighborhood (M- M-N). Second, on the westerly 19 acres, the proposed zoning is Low Density Mixed -Use Neighborhood (L-M-N). There are no immediate development plans at this time. The only action being considered is annexation into the City and placement into two zoning districts. The Planning and Zoning Board considers your interest and input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an important part of the City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, but would like to provide input, written comments are welcome. The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
