Dear Eileen,
This letter is in response to our conversation last week, and you may submit it to
the appropriate authorities or keep it for your records, as you need. I am aware of your
reconstruction of 221 E. Oak, next to the home I own at 217 E. Oak St. From the
drawings you shared with me, and from our conversation, it is my understanding that the
western profile of 221 E. Oak will be raised. Let me know if you need any other
documentation from me in this matter.
Sincerely,
Ellen Brinks

Hearing Officer Findings — Response to:
In response to Citizen Concerns with the South elevation we have introduced two recesses into the South
Building Elevation to further break up the plane of the building and to introduce some natural light into
the interior.
In response to the Condition of Approval regarding the height of the privacy wall at the front (north)
building elevation we have extended the front entry of the building four feet to the north and moved the
north privacy wall one foot nine inches to the south so that it aligns with the relocated front entry wall.
This modification to the floor and site plan will allow the wall to be as high as six feet from the existing
grades. Our submitted elevations show a height of wall of five feet nine inches plus or minus. In addition
to this the solid portions of the wall will be broken in height with inserts of wrought iron fencing as
shown on the submittal drawings.
The Red Lined Drawings will be returned with this submittal.
Thanks for your help in addressing these issues.
