This would avoid having the sewers cross which could lead to confusion for future owners. Comment Number: 8 Comment Originated: 08/14/2013 08114/2013: The minimum sidewalk width on a local street is 4.5 feet. The plans indicate 5 feet in width which is perfectly acceptable. Comment Number: 10 Comment Originated: 08/14/2013 08/14/2013: 1 had the chance to ask "up the line" about the concept of filing a utility and drainage plan set with our traditional "Utility Plan" set and the set not being prepared and signed by a licensed engineer. The feedback I received is that the City wouldn't want to file this set in with our Utility Plans because it would not be a set of plans prepared and stamped by a licensed engineer. We havent apparently done this before, and are leery of doing so. There would appear to be two options as result of this, with either option being equally acceptable: a. Have all the utility and drainage plan pages added to the site and landscape plan set that would be filed as the planning documents. It may lend itself to needing to create a "cover sheet" that would list the individual components of the site plan, landscape plan, utility and drainage sheets, etc. b. Have an engineer sign and stamp the plan set (and add the City's Utility Plan Approval Block, with additional other information needing to be added). Comment Number: 11 Comment Originated: 08/14/2013 08/14/2013: Coordinate the sidewalk design between the plan sets (or plan set, if ultimately combined). The City would prefer to see a detached sidewalk for as much of the extent as possible, which can be 4.5 feet in width. Attached sidewalks would need to be closer to 6 feet. Comment Number: 12 Comment Originated: 08/14/2013 08/14/2013: The City has Cowan Street identified for slurry seal this fall, tentatively scheduled for next month. The timing of the City's work against the timing of the proposed street cuts should be closely looked into. Street cuts into a reconditioned new street would require pavement impact penalty fees.
