October 4, 2007
The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on Thursday,
October 18, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers**, City Hall West, 300 LaPorte
Avenue, will hold a public hearing on a proposed project in your neighborhood. The
proposed project is referred to as the East Skyway Structure Plan Amendment and
Rezoning — File #19-07 (this is a continuance from the September 20, 2007 Planning
and Zoning Board meeting).
This is a request to amend the City Plan Structure Plan Map, and to rezone two
properties on East Skyway Drive, initiated by City staff. The Plan amendment will
change the existing land use designation for two properties from Urban Estate to
Commercial and Low Density Residential. The rezoning change is as follows: 1) The
first property is located at 209 E. Skyway Drive. The existing zoning is Urban Estate.
The proposed zoning includes a change to Commercial on the west 2/3 of the property,
and a change to Low Density Residential on the east 1/3 of the property. 2) The second
property is located at 225 East Skyway Drive, with an existing zoning of Urban Estate.
The proposed zoning is a change to Low Density Residential on the north 1/3 of the
property and retains the remaining south 2/3 of the property as Urban Estate.
Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your interest
and input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an important part of the City's
review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, but would like to
provide input, written comments are welcome.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official
records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy
and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may
have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so
all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
