RE: TIS Memo Update for the Proposed Development at 3425 S. Shields Street, Fort Collins,
CO 80526
This Traffic Memorandum is an update to the Intermediate Traffic Impact Study (TIS) prepared by
Development Engineering Sciences (DES) on 6/11/07. The purpose of this TIS Memo Update is to
evaluate the scenario of 100% of the site generated peak hour southbound right -turns entering the
project site from the RI/RO access onto S. Shields Street. When evaluating this scenario, the result
would yield 15 AM and 16 PM Short Range (2010) Total Peak Hour southbound right -turns at the
site's RI/RO access to S. Shields Street. See attached figures. Per Figure 8-4 of the Larimer County
Urban Area Street Standards, 50 peak hour right-tums is the threshold for needing a right -turn lane on
S. Shields Street. Therefore this access point is well below this threshold for needing a southbound
right -turn lane.
