Planning and Zoning
City of Fort Collins
Dear Resident:
February 6, 2008
On Wednesday, February 20, 2007, at 5:00 p.m., in conference room A of 281
North College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the City of Fort Collins Hearing
Officer will conduct an administrative hearing to consider a development proposal
in your neighborhood. The project is referred to as Old Oak Estates, Project
Development Plan, #25-07A.
This is a residential development project. The parcel is zoned U-E, Urban
Estate. As proposed, the project consists of six lots. Two lots exceed one acre
in size. Four lots are approximately one-half acre in size. Five new lots are
designated for new single family detached dwellings. There is an existing home
on one lot that would be preserved.
The site contains 4.98 acres and is located at 5227 Strauss Cabin Road,
approximately one-half mile south of East Harmony Road on the west side of
Strauss Cabin Road. The parcel is bordered by the Willow Brook Subdivision
(Observatory Village) on the west and Sunrise Ridge Second Filing on the north.
The applicant is requesting one Modification of Standard to allow a slight
decrease in the minimum lot size from the required 0.5 acre to 0.498 acre for Lot
Six.
The City Current Planning Staff and Hearing Officer consider your interest and
input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an important part of the
City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend, written comments are
welcome.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official
records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected
property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor
of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
Sincerely:
Ted Shepard, AICP
Chief Planner
