Pg 8 of 10 Item #6 Mulching: This is not the same there seems to be some confusion
with Landscape permanent chipped mulch and mulch used to "Crimp" seed to ensure seeded
areas; Erosion control is concerned with the latter.
JVA Response 1/21/14: Description of erosion control mulch for seeded areas added.
The erosion control report should also discuss the drainage course to the closest receiving waters.
JVA Response 1/21/14: Section 2 — Drainage Basins and Historic Runoff describes how stormwater
drains off the site and discharges into the nearest receiving waters of Fossil Creek.
Erosion Control Escrow: This number looks good but will have to be updated with the addition of rolled
products on the steeper slopes.

09/17/2013:
The site disturbs more than 10,000 sq-ft, therefore Erosion and Sediment Control Materials need to
be submitted for FDP. The erosion control requirements are in the Stormwater Design Criteria
under the Amendments of Volume 3 Chapter 7 Section 1.3.3. (Requirements added to the
packet of Materials from Stormwater) Current Erosion Control Materials Submitted does not meet
requirements. Please submit; Erosion Control Plan, Erosion Control Report, and an Escrow / Security
Calculation. If you need clarification concerning this section, or if there are any questions please contact

12/10/2013: Erosion Control Plan needs to address the steep slopes with a rolled product to
protect from erosion specifically on the east and south sides of the Site, the detail page should
also reflect this addition.
JVA Response 1/21/14: Note has been added to the erosion control plan to provide temporary rolled
product if crimping is not possible. Biodegradable Slope Stabilization Mat (short term): 9.3 pound
leno-woven biodegradable jute top net, 7.7 pound woven biodegradable jute bottom net, 100% straw fiber
matrix with a longevity of 12 months. North American Green S150BN Or accepted substitution.
The sequence chart is also calling out for the silt fence to be removed
after construction however the silt fence (specifically along the east and south LOC) should
remain in place until the seeded areas are established.
JVA Response 1/21/14: Silt fence barriers line item has been extended through the demobilization phase
and a note added below for silt fencing to remain in place until seeded areas are established.
The storm pipes that are to be installed on the west side of the site have no protection or explanation as to
how they are planned to be protected.
JVA Response 1/21/14: Sediment control logs have been added to protect the western storm pipe outlet
Erosion Control Report: Pg 7 of 10 Item #7 Particulate Generation: This should not
just focus on undisturbed areas but also vehicles that could cause particulate emissions from
the work.
