This will relieve the Dentist development from these offsite sidewalk improvements because Street Oversizing will pay the oversized sidewalk in this 360'. 1 have left a message for Mr. Gallenstein. Cam, please have Engineering staff get with Bob Poncelow, for the PFA account for these funds and work with him on the easements or rights -of -way Issues for the sidewalk. Happy Day to you all!! gary CC: Dave Stringer; Gregory Byrne; John Mulligan; Ron Phillips; Sheri Wamhoff; Ted Shepard t Comm Current City of Fort Collins July 18, 2003 Mr. Joe Simpson Alpine Dental P.O. Box 412 Fort Collins, CO 80522 RE: Comfort Dental P.D.P. - Sidewalk Dear Joe: and The purpose of this letter is to clarify the obligation to construct a public sidewalk along the south side of Harmony Road between the east property line of the Comfort Dental P.D.P. (Current Planning Project File #19-02) and Hogan Drive. This sidewalk would adjoin property owned by the Poudre Fire Authority and be considered a public sidewalk. This sidewalk would be 360 feet in length and seven feet in width and is considered to be an important pedestrian connection to serve the development of the Comfort Dental P.D:P. The cost of constructing this walk will be borne by the City of Fort Collins Street Oversizing Program and Poudre Fire Authority. The cost sharing arrangement is that Poudre Fire Authority will contribute $4,500 for the "local share" of the sidewalk and the Street Oversizing Program will pay for the "oversized share" so that the walk meets the standard for a major arterial street. It is the City's desire to have the sidewalk constructed by the time the Alpine Dental Clinic receives a Certificate of Occupancy. If you have any further questions regarding the design, cost or construction of this sidewalk, please contact mf at 221-6750. , Sincerely: Ted Shepard Chief Planner Cc: Dave Stringer, Development Review Supervisor Matt Baker, Street Oversizing Coordinator Bob Poncelow, Battalion Chief 281 North College Avenue • P.O. This is likely due to the fact that the Poudre Fire Authority commitment to fund $4,500 was made in 2003. Obviously, the cost of materials and labor has adjusted upward since then. I would like to discuss with the parties on how best to fairly fund this balance. At such time that we agree on how best to fund the shortfall, the parties will need to provide charge numbers to Ron Kechter, 6805. Obviously, this project has a long history, so please let me know if you have any questions. 04 MEMORANDUM TO: Matt Baker, Street Oversizing Manager Bob Poncelow, Battalion Chief Marc Virata, Civil Engineer Ron Kechter, Facilities Project Manager FROM: Ted Shepard, Chief Planner -5 RE: Harmony Road Sidewalk — FortCollins Supportive Housing to Hogan Drive DATE: March 6, 2009 The City of Fort Collins Operations Services Department has completed the construction of a public sidewalk on the south side of Harmony Road. This sidewalk runs from the eastern property line of Fort Collins Supportive Housing (301 East Harmony Road); and then easterly along the frontage of Next Media Outdoor Inc. (321 East Harmony Road); and Poudre Fire Authority Station Five (4615 Hogan Drive); to the intersection with Hogan Drive. Ron Kechter, Facilities Project Manager, has provided me with an invoice from Express Concrete which is attached. The sidewalk is seven feet wide and 563.5 feet in length (the total length of the frontage along both properties). The invoice total is $14,569.06 for 3,944.5 square feet of sidewalk = $3.69 per square foot. This total is to be divided up among three parties in the following manner: Fort Collins Supportive Housing pays for the local street portion (4.5 feet of width) along the frontage of Next Media Inc. (203.5 feet). Funds are to be disbursed from an escrow account held by the City of Fort Collins. 2. Poudre Fire Authority pays a flat amount of $4,500.00 based on a cost - sharing agreement made between Chief Mulligan and Gary Diede back in April of 2003 (see attached). 3. The City of Fort Collins Street Oversizing Fund pays for the oversized portion (2.5 feet of width) of the sidewalk along Next Media, Inc. (203.5 feet) and along Poudre Fire Authority Station Five (360 feet). 4. There is a slight shortfall in the funding based on this allocation.
