Schedule —The Construction Contract has established a 10-month construction time - the
Contractor is proposing a schedule based on 7 months of construction. In any case, 90 days
prior to expected Permission to Occupy (PTO), the Contractor is to give the Owner and
Architect notice of the expected date of completion so that Owner may begin arrangements
for occupancy.
Submittals — Not discussed. Architect is processing doors, hardware, and specialties at this
time. A CD copy of Architect's CAD drawing files was delivered to the Contractor.
Contractor's Requisition — A requisition for 3% of the Contract Amount was prepared by the
Contractor, reviewed, and signed for work in place. Supporting documentation (fee slips.
invoices, payment stubs) will be provided prior to the second requisition to attest to fees paid
ty the Contractor and to permit release of utility fees the Owner has already paid the
Contractor.
Next meeting date and time: Tuesday, February 05, 2008, 1:00 PM. Draw meetings will be
held on the first Tuesday of each month for requisitions covering the prior month's work.

Underground stormwater culvert is installed under the entrance drive and out to daylight on
the east side of the existing, abandoned drive in the center of the site. The drainage ditch
concrete walls have been removed out to the east property line. None of the existing trees on
the property along E. Harmony were viable enough to be preserved.
Site is grubbed and roughly graded at the building and parking areas. Interior, below -slab
subgrade has not been removed or reconditioned at the time of this report.
Building
Concrete footings have been excavated, formed, and poured. Footings are neatly constructed
and from appearances are true to line and dimension. Reinforcing steel and anchors are in
accordance with the Construction Documents and approved Shop Drawings where observed.
Masonry foundation walls are about 80% complete.
ITEMS TO VERIFY
1. Contractor should keep on file some documentation that shows the adjacent property
owner to the east has permitted the temporary use of their property for project access and
construction parking.
INFORMATION OR ACTION REQUIRED.
1. Contractor will obtain a price from their excavator for removal of existing subgrade
soils down to the bottom of the in -place footings, and replacing with engineered compacted
fill to limit the effects and potential for swelling of cohesive soils below the concrete slab.

PROGRESS MEETING MINUTES:
Items Discussed —
HUD Inspector and Owner facilitated the preconstruction conference and reviewed
proceedures and formats for communication, labor reporting, payment requisitions.
retainage reduction and release, and change orders.
Partial release of retainage will not occur unless it can be ascertained that work remaining
can be covered by the amounts held, and in no case until work is completed with only
warranty items remaining.
Expansive under -slab soils were discussed along with measures being taken to mitigate and
limit the amount of slab heave in the event soils become saturated. The intention is to permit
the entire building to replace or condition soils to decrease the likelihood of differential
settlement.

OBSERVA T/ONS.•
Site
General:
One of the two required project signs is in place at the west entrance of the project.
Stone construction entrance base is installed.
Erosion control fencing is installed at the perimeter of the site in general compliance with the
Construction Documents. The 100 foot habitat area on the south portion of the site is
protected and appears undisturbed.
Construction worker traffic is entering and exiting E. Harmony Road through the site
immediately east of the Project (formerly Simpson's property). Vehicles are parked along the
6' high fence on the south side of that lot.
Construction trailer is in place in the northeast corner of the Project site.
Masonry construction materials (CMU and mortar) for foundation walls are on site.
The site is clean, and well organized, with good separation between worker and construction
traffic.
