College Neighborhood Meeting Notes Date: Wednesday, December 12, 2012 Time: 6:00 - 6:45 P.M. Place: 5900 S. College Attending: Three area residents/ business owners; applicant Mike Lindeman of Brinkman Property; and Interim Planning Manager Sherry Albertson -Clark The meeting began with introductions, purpose of the meeting and an overview of the planning process by Sherry Albertson -Clark. Mike Lindeman then described the project. The next section of the meeting was spent in responding to questions, comments, suggestions and discussion, which is summarized below. Questions, Comments, Suggestions, Discussion Q—what are the hours of operation? A — usually will be 9 — 6 Q—will there be any new lighting? A — No new lights Q—will the canopies stay? A —yes, will be kept Q — what is the frontage road issue? A — traffic cuts through the site from the frontage road; when 287 is widened to 3 lanes, the 3rd lane will be on the frontage road; will be working with CDOT on this and don't plan to display any cars on the frontage road — will be parked diagonally next to the building, but applicant is concerned that traffic on the frontage road could hit the cars on display Q—what were the Conceptual Review comments? A — additional landscaping required; lights must be down -directional; sign must conform to sign code; sidewalk along 287 (if required or not); whether a traffic study will be required Q— is this just auto sales? A— sales of higher -end cars and some motorcycles, may have a boat for sale occasionally; don't plan to do any repairs on -site, just detailing; might have oil changes done at Tynan's Q—are there any underground tanks on site? 1
