March 24, 2009
On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 6:00 p.m., in conference room A of 281 North
College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the City of Fort Collins Hearing Officer
will conduct an Administrative Hearing to consider a redevelopment proposal in
your neighborhood. The project is referred to as Larimer Center for Mental
Health, Spirit Crossing Clubhouse, 125 West Crestridge Road, #2-09.
This is a request to convert an existing church at 125 West Crestridge Drive into
an office and clubhouse for Larimer County. Spirit Crossing clubhouse offers
employment training, educational services, and help with socialization and
wellness skills for approximately 20 to 40 clients. There would be five
employees. In addition, there would be offices for approximately 24 other
Larimer County employees.
Interior improvements include installing an elevator and upgrading the fire
extinguishing system. There would be no exterior changes to the building.
Exterior site improvements include improving the sidewalk and adding
landscaping along the perimeter.
Spirit Crossing would operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
and lunch is served daily. Shuttle service is offered to members in need of
transportation. The parcel is located one block west of South College Avenue at
the corner of Crestridge Drive and Venus Drive and zoned C-C, Community
Commercial.
The City Current Planning Staff and the Hearing Officer consider your interest
and input in this matter an important part of the City's review of this proposal. If
you are unable to attend, written comments are welcome.
Sincerely:
T.c
Ted Shepard
Chief Planner
