Number: 43 Created: 7/11 /2008 [7/11/08] CDOT may have overlayed the original gutter and paved to the flowline. If this is the case, than the old curb and gutter must be removed in full and then patched back to standard. Please place a little note to that effect so that the contractor knows he can't "layer" the curb and gutter. Thanks Tricia! Department: Light & Power Issue Contact: Janet McTague Topic: Utilities Number: 34 Created: 6/27/2008 [6/27/08] Please coordinate electric needs with Light and Power. If your need exceeds existing capacity, we'll need a C-1 form showing building voltage and main size. We may need to find a transformer location or change an existing transformer to a larger size. Department: Stormwater-Water-Wastewater Issue Contact: Wes Lamarque Topic: Stormwater Number: 39 Created: 7/11 /2008 [7/11/08] There is 113 cfs flowing north on the west side of College Avenue during a 100- year event. The depth of flow was estimated in the Old Town Drainage Master Plan to be around .8 feet, which is about 10 inches. Since the finished floor of the proposed building is only 10 inches above the flowline in College Avenue, the City recommends the finished floor be raised as much as possible with still meeting ADA requirements. [2/27/07] Typically four residential units need a 1" water service. On residential, the size of water service does NOT affect development fees. Number: 37 Created: 7/8/2008 [7/8/08] Revise fire line connection to use tapping saddle rather than a tee. Number: 38 Created: 7/8/2008 [7/8/08] Sht 3 of utility plan shows 1.5" water meter, and Note 3 on the same sheet refers to 1" water service. Please clarify. COLLEGE AVENUE PDP - TYPE I AND FINAL PLANS, and we offer the following comments: ISSUES: Department: Current Planning Issue Contact: Dana Leavitt Topic: General Number: 35 Created: 7/7/2008 [7/7/08] Whilst late into the project, the City is promoting the use of green building practices in all new construction. Of specific interest are the following services that you may consider: 1. The solid waste program actively promotes reducing the amount of material goling into the landfill. The demolition of the existing building will generate a large volume of waste. Deconstruction of the building should be explored as a means of reducing the amount of waste that will end up in the landfill. 2.The Utilities Department has an Integrated Design Assistance Program (IDAP) that offers financial incentives to work on energy conservation amongst other aspects of green building. The good news is that you've got a credit for $1362.15. We can either refund that to you by check or you can use it as a credit towards Final Compliance fees and we can refund any unused portion after that. I've attached a copy of how the fees were calculated so that you can see how a credit was given for the existing square footage.
