College Avenue PO Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 970,221.6750 970.224.6134 - fax fcgov.com/Currentp/anning January 12, 2011 On Wednesday, January 26, 2011, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., at the second floor of the Mulberry Pool, 424 West Mulberry Street, Fort Collins, Colorado, the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department will conduct a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is referred to as 518 West Laurel Street, 42-Unit Apartment Building. This is would be a redevelopment project. As proposed, the project consists of demolishing the existing restaurant (Woody's Pizza) and constructing a new apartment building. The 50 units would be divided among studio, one, two and three -bedroom apartments. There would be a total of 96 bedrooms. Parking would be in the rear with 49 spaces gaining access by the alley that connects Sherwood and Whitcomb Streets. The building would be three -stories in height and contain approximately 41,800 square feet. The building would be shaped as an "H" with a front courtyard. The site is .95 acre in size. The zoning is N-C-B, Neighborhood Conservation Buffer. The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbors concerning this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
