We went through a number of iterations and have focused on this scheme as it addresses the concerns of scale, context, horizontal massing and overall building character better than any of the other designs we developed. As discussed, our goal is to arrive at a design with adequate definition to avoid a subsequent round of architectural review during the permit application process. The attached illustration includes a rendered elevation of the building along with the overall elevation of the west facing frontage of the pedestrian spine. The color sampling is representative, but the goal for the base is to use a brick matching the color and texture of the pressed brick used on the trolley barn. The level above is a stucco with a shade darker tone of the brick base color. The uppermost level is a vertical metal siding. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this design. If this document is printed out on 11x17 paper with page scaling set to "none" it should print to scale. Also, let me know if you need us to send hard copy of this drawing to finalize your review.
