Would anyone who has knowledge of the WAPA line and requirements let me know what you think of just
installing one 18 ft. fiberglass streetlight pole on the SW corner of the intersection?
Thanks... Doug

Braileigh,
I don't know where it would be within the WAPA easement, as I don't know where that easement is. It would
be placed just behind the new curb along Overland Trail, south of Elizabeth but as close to Elizabeth as
possible. I would be glad to meet at the site, however finding the time may be interesting. I have several
meetings this week, and I am going to be on vacation starting this Firday through July 2nd. As of now,
Wednesday this week is fairly open, especially in the morning.

Doug,
Hello!
Would the 18 foot streetlight you are proposing be within Western's easement? If so, where within the
easement (center, edge, etc.)?
If it would make things easier, we could meet at the job location and discuss where exactly you would like the
streetlights.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I think I have a solution to most of the issue of the streetlights vs. WAPA power line along Overland Trail. It
appears that I can install new lights on the east side of Overland Trail. It won't be an ideal lighting system, but
neither was the one with lights on the west side. One likely problem under either plan is lighting the
intersection on the west side of Overland at Elizabeth. It appears the only solution is to install one of the 18 ft.
poles at the S.W. corner. I am not sure how placing a light here would impact the WAPA line, but it appears it
would be okay to my eye. We have similar lights farther south along Overland Trail. Without a light there, I
can almost guarantee that we will get complaints about folks not being able to locate the intersection at night.
