Re: Casey's Car Wash — Utility Easement Vacation
Dear Susan,
This letter is intended to satisfy the request for an explanation of the utility easement
vacation that is proposed with the Casey's Car Wash plan set.
The City of Fort Collins Utility Department has requested the utility easement vacation.
Currently the easement contains a water service line that services the car wash facilities.
The waterline is not desired in its existing location because it crosses under an existing
building.
The existing easement is to be vacated and the existing waterline will be abandoned in
place. A new easement and water service will be provided to the existing building as
shown on the development plans.
The vacation of the existing easement and relocation of the waterline will not adversely
affect the development. The new waterline location will provide for better accessibility for
any future repairs.
In consideration of the forgoing discussion, it is respectfully requested that the utility
easement vacation be approved for the waterline at Casey's Car Wash. If you have any
questions or require any additional information please feel free to contact our office.
