Explanation of Variance Requests
Sidewalk Location
This business will be placed on an infill lot, between two other businesses that
were built prior to current city planning. In order to assimilate Rocky Mountain Archery
to the Golden Meadows Business Park, and attempt to meet current city planning, two
compromises have been reached. The sidewalk will need to be poured curbside in order
to match existing sidewalk orientation, but it will be poured six feet wide in order to
comply with current city requirements.
Build to Front
The other two businesses that neighbor the property to the north and south are
built approximately 85 feet back from the street curb. In order to not grossly stand out,
yet attempt to meet the "build to front" criteria, the new structure will be placed 65 feet
back from the street curb.
